Research Consultancy opportunity for a Detainees Healthcare Project
Research Consultancy opportunity for a Detainees Healthcare Project
Project Title: | Support access to health care services for prisoners and former prisoners in Mauritius, living or affected by HIV, HCV and Tuberculosis |
Assignment: | To conduct a baseline study |
Type of Contract: | Consultancy |
Partners | PILS, AILES & KINOUETE |
Background
The Global Fund in Mauritius currently caters for various Key Affected Populations in Mauritius. However, despite the fact that prison inmates are considered to be a key population in Mauritius, they have not been part of funding requests of the Global Fund to fight Aids, Tuberculosis and Malaria in recent grants. With a daily average population of 2,300 prisoners, prison inmates can be vulnerable to HIV, Tuberculosis and Hepatitis C.
Ultimately this led to the writing of a three-year project and prompting it to have a research consultant to work on a report as a baseline study.
Methodology
The proposed methodology can include but is not limited to desk research and meeting relevant stakeholders. Considering the limited timeframe, the research consultant should propose the best methodology to provide the baseline data by the given deadlines.
Timeframe
The proposal should be deposited on 9th November 2020 at 5pm latest at PILS.
The final draft of the report should be submitted on 26th February, 2021
